Meet Our Dentists
Samuel J. Borgmeyer, DDS
Dr. Samuel J. Borgmeyer was born and raised in South St. Louis City. Dr. Sam attended DePaul University in Chicago, majoring in biology while being involved in an a capella group and graduating in 2006. After college, he attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry and graduated in 2011. After finishing his education, he moved back to Chicago and worked as a dentist at Lawndale Christian Health Center, eventually being promoted to be the director of his clinic. Through this experience, he was also able to work to increase the quality of oral health care to those who needed it most and to advocate for access to care across the city. At Lawndale Christian health center, he had the privilege of being adjunct faculty at the University of Illinois School of Dentistry, educating countless young dentists in their best practices. While in Chicago, he also worked at a general and cosmetic dental office called Compass Dental, fine-tuning his cosmetic and general dentistry. While his time in Chicago was amazing, he is very happy to be back home and loves working with his dad, brother, and family working at, and running the family business. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association, and Greater Saint Louis Dental Society, among many other clubs and study groups.
He currently lives in Tower Grove South with his wife, Kristen, who is a play therapist. They have three kids Ellouise, Teddy and Peter. Dr. Sam and his family love exploring the city’s restaurants and breweries. They are really happy with their move home.
During Dr. Sam’s dental journey, he has really loved the process of treating problems and patients individually by creating personalized care and treatment plans. This allows him to apply the newest technology in an old school manner to provide the best possible care to each and every patient.
David J. Borgmeyer, DDS
Dr. David Borgmeyer earned his BA in English and pre-dental degree from Saint Louis University. He graduated from the University of Missouri at Kansas City, Dental School in 1977. Dr. David is committed to continuing his education. He belongs to the Missouri Valley Study Club, which meets monthly to discuss current dental advancements. Dr. David is also a member of the American Dental Association® (ADA), Missouri Dental Association (MDA), Greater St. Louis Dental Society (GSLDS), and Chicago Dental Society. Dr. David was awarded the St. Louis Area Dentist of the Year award in 2013 and was top rated by the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Dr. David and his wife, Anne, are the proud parents of four sons. The oldest is a lawyer, the second is a high school teacher, and the youngest two are dentists. When he's not in the office, where he has been practicing dentistry for an impressive 35 years, Dr. David Borgmeyer finds his rhythm in the world of music. An avid guitarist and a skilled woodworker, Dr. David extends his passion for music beyond his hobbies. With over three decades of teaching music at St. Stephen Protomartyr School and actively supporting the local church's music program, he seamlessly blends his commitment to dental care with his dedication to nurturing young musical talents. Dr. David Borgmeyer is not just a devoted dentist; he's also a music enthusiast and educator, infusing his dental practice with the same harmony and precision he brings to the world of music.
Augustine Borgmeyer, DDS
Dr. Augustine Borgmeyer, a true local gem, hails from South St. Louis, Missouri, where he grew up and discovered his passion for dentistry. His educational journey took him through Rockhurst University, where he graduated with honors in 2003, and the University of Missouri, Kansas City, where he earned his DDS in 2007.
As a devoted member of the dental community, Dr. Gus is actively involved in organizations such as the American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association, and Greater Saint Louis Dental Society, alongside various study groups and clubs.
After completing dental school, he dedicated himself to providing essential dental care to underserved populations in the St. Louis area at Grace Hill Family Dentistry. In 2009, Dr. Gus continued his family's legacy by joining his father at Borgmeyer Dental.
At home, Dr. Augustine Borgmeyer shares his life with his children, Carmen and Auggie, in the charming Compton Heights neighborhood. Dr. Gus balances his time between Borgmeyer Dental and the operation of STL Urgent Dental, and we cherish every moment we get to spend with him around the office. Kevin Schmidt, DDS
Dr. Kevin Schmidt, a familiar face in Webster Groves, Missouri, began his journey toward dental excellence right in our community.
He graduated from DeSmet Jesuit High School in 2009 and continued his education at Marquette University, where he laid the groundwork for his dental career from 2009 to 2013. This led him to Marquette Dental School, where he honed his skills and deepened his commitment to patient care.
Since 2016, Kevin has been delivering exceptional dental care at Compass Health in Wentzville. In January 2020, he became an essential part of the Borgmeyer Dental team, frequently lending his expertise on Fridays.
Dr. Kevin Schmidt's strong ties to our community and dedication to precision align perfectly with our values.
